Team G.O.A.T. (Greatest of all time) with Mr Roddy & Mrs Duffy
What a brilliant day we've had! We had cereal and a cooked breakfast to give us the energy we needed for our mountain day. We went to an old chapel, before making our way to an abandoned lead mine. We went 200m underground and were even brave enough to turn off our torches! Afterwards we had lunch al fresco by a beautiful little stream, before climbing Cat Bells (451 metres). We took a challenging route up to the summit and had to scramble up rocks. Our hard work and bravery was rewarded with hot chocolate, stunning views of Derwentwater and a great sense of achievement. We didn't have a single grumble along the way either! After our descent, we walked through the woods and called in at a cafe for ice-creams and lollies.
