Group 1 with Mr Topham
Mr Topham’s group have had a fun filled experience today doing our mountain walk. We were dropped off 12km away from Derwent Hill in the middle of the Borrowdale Valley. James, our instructor, led us on a trek along the valley to Millican Dalton’s cave. We ate lunch then set off towards the village of Grange where we stopped for a Lake District ice cream. Next on our route was the Derwent Water where we were looking Galena. We had a ride on the ferry then forraged for wood to make a fire for a hot chocolate. It was a long and challenging day but we all overcame it and thoroughly enjoyed it.
